Asymmetrical Neck piece $105-$150

One of the first pieces I created in my studio, I had been sketching, doodling, rearranging circles on paper for quite sometime trying to design a killer neck piece. I am pleased with the finished product and one of my dear friends back in MD purchased it back in the spring. If I ever get my camera back from the shop I will add pics of some smaller necklaces I have been working on.

Again, for the locals I am back at the Hillsborough Farmers Market and Last Fridays and coming this Fall I am hopeful that Hillsborough will be the home of its first monthly, indoor artist market. Think..........Cool Art........Cool Music........Cool People.........Shopping locally to support our amazing community= ROCKING GOOD TIME!

If anyone out there reads this and is interested in helping me bring the West Hillsborough Artist Market to life, email me kerifrank@hotmail.com.

Thanks Y'all!

Recycle, Reuse, Shop Locally and Celebrate our Independence! I have always loved the 4th of July, my party girl instincts have been around since I was just a girl! My family would head down to the polo fields for the fireworks display, after a day of swimming in our backyard pool. I was always so excited to see school friends that I had not seen for a month, especially Ben Allnutt, my first love! I always had a carefully planned outfit to show off my tan! How funny, these days I have a perfectly planned outfit to cover up my cellulite!
Bottle Cap Necklaces and Pins $8...........an affordable gift for all ages!

My friend Jodi, blogged about me @ www.shortstreetcakes.blogspot.com ! Check it out! And if you are ever in Asheville go to her bakery.
The kids and I are going to felt today. The local coffee shop, Cup A Joe, and its awesome, rockin' owners Brooke and Ryan want some java jackets! So I need to get to work, and scrub away my mama frustrations........that is a blog in itself! For all of you locals, I will be at Last Fridays (6/26), then the Hillsborough Farmers Market (Home Depot), then I will be off to the big city for Downtown Live in Moore Square! If you are interested in any of the jewelry seen on this fine blog, email me kerifrank@hotmail.com .

Here are some quick pics of the asymmetrical cuff and ring I made for one of my friends. While at my studio, with my son swooning over her, (he likes blondes), she named my latest creation "Bladerunner", and decided she had to have it! I love that, and I love my little shop, and I love the hot humid summer!

Asymmetrical Cuff $48
Asymmetrical Ring $22- $28
Bladerunner $ 85

I cannot keep these earrings in stock! Yea, they are hearts for all of you non heart people, but with the jump rings creating a chain effect, they are bad ass. I was never into the heart motif, but now that I have two of them tattooed on my body, what can I say..............ohhh flaming hearts.............I am off to my studio.

The Big 'Ole Funky Chain.............made from 10 gauge sterling silver wire, I LOVE THIS NECKLACE! And my friends do too! Let me take a moment to say "Thank You" to my friends. My friends have enthusiastically supported The Gypsy Mermaid, and I am at my best in my studio making jewelry listening to Neutral Milk Hotel, Neko Case, Uncle Tupelo, and Digable Planets (all on heavy rotation these past months). I thank you ladies for giving me daily strength and wisdom on child rearing, small business management, and lots of ideas for new fun, funky designs!

Here we go..........

We, meaning all of you that have tortured me to get online one way or another! I think blogging may be the way with our dial- up situation out here in Efland! I am going to try to upload my pictures and away we go, The Gypsy Mermaid, online, there may be a God, well if no one tries to call me on my land line while I am uploading!
